Won't take a set, cannot weaken or break like conventional steel springs, and withstands gun oils, degreasers, and cleaning solvents. Fits all dpms-pattern ar-308 rifles, including dpms lr-308 gen i and ii, remington r-25, and bushmaster xm-10. G2 extractor and g2 elastomer spring must be used together as a unit to replace the older style extractors that use wire extractor springs.
