The bad-qrrp quick-release rear takedown pin replaces the factory pin and offers two modes of operation: reload mode and takedown mode. In reload mode pull the bad-qrrp part way out of the receiver (it's captured so it won't come out completely) to allow the upper to pop up just enough to unlock the california magazine lock so the magazine release button will work and you can drop the mag.
